Blue Hey Diddle Diddle Diaper Change Pad
My daughter requested a baby diaper change pad with a velcro tab instead of a ribbon closing.
This is my blue Hey Diddle Diddle change pad with the tab closing.
It has a matching outer pocket with pale yellow swirly flannel on the 'baby bottom' side.
The tab is double sided.
(The dimension to cut the fabric for it are approximately 3" by 5", then folded in half right sides together to sew the 1/4" seam. Leave the bottom open to turn it right side out.)
Positioning the tab was a little tricky. Had to redo that to get it right. You need to sew it in above the pocket at the left side about 4 1/2 inches from the top left corner.
Be careful to sew it so the tab will stick out when you turn all the pieces right side out, Lol! And the velcro tab has to face up (See photos).
Then last sew on the other piece that clasps the velcro on the tab.
It is easier to insert a ribbon to tie it closed! :)
The completed change pad is 16 1/4" by 25 1/2" in size, about the same size as my first change pad, the yellow star one with ribbon closing.
They are actually a lot of fun to make! :)
